Nelosca’s fleet of amphibious excavation equipment includes large dump trucks, several floating excavators, an all-purpose vehicle, and specialized survey transport.
Marshlands and wetlands include soft ground that is sensitive to pressure from heavy excavation equipment, dense vegetation also prohibits access by floating equipment. These conditions add tremendous risk to environmental remediation projects because heavy equipment can sink into the soft underlying sediment.
Amphibious excavation equipment greatly increases crew safety yet mitigates risk because it exhibits extremely low ground pressure. Wide tanks keep the equipment on top of bog material, plus it can also float fully loaded when required.
For a complete remediation, Nelosca can implement a combination of excavation and dredging approaches. If barrier walls are required, our amphibious equipment is capable of accessing remote locations and assist on the construction of barrier walls. Our large amphibious dump trucks feature removable dump boxes which allows us to use them as drilling and work platforms when needed.
